Chinese experts discover H. pylori infection causes gallstones
Shanghai. July 27. INTERFAX-CHINA - Chinese researchers have confirmed that the formation of gallstones is related to the helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, and that antiviral treatment can inhibit their formation.
A research team spent two years observeing1,000 gallstone patients, and found helicobacter pylori in the bile of most of the patients, and that the DNA of helicobacter pylori in most gallstones, which showed that the gallstone is closely related to helicobacter pylori, compared with the traditional theory that bile acid metabolism disorder is the major reason of gallstones. ...
