Jul. 28--The Milwaukee Brewers might be hanging by their fingernails as they try to climb back into the wild-card playoff race, but at least fans are paying attention to the club's fortunes.
That's the assessment of Mark Attanasio, the team's principal owner, who spoke to a group of Milwaukee businessmen and women Thursday morning at the Pfister Hotel.
"I just love the fact that we are relevant," Attanasio said.
With a strong turnout this week for three home games with the Pittsburgh Pirates, attendance stands at 1,457,417 through 52 home games, for an average of 28,027 per game.
