JIM STROUSE, Stanton's Sheet Music's chairman of the board, announced that he was retiring from day-to-day operations of the Columbus, Ohio, company he has run for more than 30 years. His son, Eric, will assume the duties of president, and Julia Morabeto will take over as vice-president.

Jim Strouse purchased the business from John Stanton in 1975. Over the years Stanton's has become recognized as one of the best run and most successful print music retailers. It has consistently ranked among The Music Trades' Top 200 Retailers, remaining within the top 100 since 2001.
