Most banking company chief executives are evasive when asked if their company is ripe for acquisition.
Not William F. Roemer. The 59-year-old chairman and chief executive of Integra Financial Corp. is refreshingly frank about the future of the Pittsburgh-based baking company.
Integra is at the top of many takeover lists, which is right where the veteran Pennsylvania banker wants it to be.
"We hope we're attractive," said Mr. Roemer. "In everything we do, we hold up a mirror and say 'Would this diminish or add to our attractiveness to a potential acquirer?'"
