Unilever, Coca-Cola and Land Rover are among the brands that have launched on the first advertising-supported mobile content trial across multiple network operators.
The service lets 3G users on Vodafone and T-Mobile receive mobile content such as video news bulletins for free by watching a preceding ad.
The service is being run by Rhythm NewMedia, which is the first to market such a service in the UK, beating rivals like Amobee in what is becoming a competitive sector (NMA 02.02.06).
Vodafone and T-Mobile have 600 subscribers each taking part in the trial, which serves a 20-second ad to subsidise the cost of the content. The trial is being ...
