Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld recently announced that the President has nominated Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Sharon H. Redpath, Supply Corps, U.S. Navy, for promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral (Upper Half).
RDML Redpath is currently assigned as Deputy Commander, Naval Inventory Control Point. Prior to her current assignment, she was assigned as Assistant Director, Plans and Policy, N41R, OPNAV.
A native of Seattle, Wash., Redpath received her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and was commissioned an ensign via the NROTC program in 1976. She served on active duty from 1976 to 1984 in a variety of billets.
