Jul. 31--Have you seen the billboards? Recognizing the problems with luring out-of-state travelers this summer, Visit Florida has a new campaign to entice Floridians to vacation in their backyards.
The tourism-marketing group erected eight billboards in Orlando, including sites on Interstate 4 and the East-West Expressway. Radio spots also have aired in markets statewide. This isn't Visit Florida's first campaign to target in-state folks -- but it's one of the larger ones, with a value of more than $1 million.
