Jul. 31--Mental illness knows no boundaries. People of every age, race, gender, ethnicity and nationality are affected. It is why the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and an organization called the Mental Health Corp. of America, of which Park Center Inc. is a member, are intensifying their focus on mental health issues around the world. According to the WHO, 13-15 percent of the world's disease burden is caused by psychiatric disorders.
Last week, Park Center hosted David Morris of Wellington, New Zealand, as part of an international mental health leadership exchange program. ...
