Aug. 1--LINCOLN -- The Nebraska State Fair is looking west for a new director. The State Fair Board will hold an emergency meeting Saturday to interview the current executive director of the Wyoming State Fair, Barney Cosner, for the opening as director of the Nebraska fair.
Cosner, 54, has directed the Wyoming fair in Douglas since 1998.
He previously worked for the National Western Stock Show in Denver and the Texas State Fair. In between, he was an instructor in agriculture education and animal sciences at Iowa State University and Colorado State University. "I'm a fair junkie," Cosner said Monday. "I think the ...
