HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Some 5,800 children will be able to participate in Head Start pre-kindergarten services in 56 counties thanks to $40 million in supplemental state funding announced by Governor Edward G. Rendell today.
"This commitment of educational resources will give our children the skills they need to become better learners, which will improve their chances for success in school and many years later after they graduate," said Governor Rendell. "This investment will ensure the future of Pennsylvania.
