Yukos petitions to have bankruptcy hearing halted until appeal is heard in European court (Part 4)
MOSCOW. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Yukos (RTS: YUKO) has petitioned the court to have its bankruptcy hearing halted until an appeal is heard in the European Court of Human Rights, a Yukos representative told an Interfax correspondent.
"We are petitioning the court to halt its bankruptcy hearing until our case is heard by the European Court of Human Rights," the representative said. "If the European court decides that the tax claims are not valid, then any question of declaring the company bankrupt will disappear. Thus, we are proposing that the [Russian] courts ...
