Rostelecom leading stocks Tuesday afternoon
MOSCOW. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Russian stocks jumped in the morning on a growth in oil prices, but had slowed by afternoon. Rostelecom (RTS: RTKM) has emerged the leader even after reporting a drop in net profit in the first half.
By 12:30 p.m. Moscow time, benchmark stocks grew 0.3%-2.5% on the Russian Trading System (RTS) and the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX). The RTS index grew 0.34% to 1556.33 and the MICEX 0.62% to 1388.81.
Rostelecom common shares grew 2.6% to 136.91 rubles a share on the MICEX and its preferreds rose 2.5% to 60.09 rubles. The company's RAS net profit dropped by more ...
