RIDGEFIELD, Conn., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has added one lot (No. 930186A) of professional samples of ALUPENT(R) (metaproterenol sulfate) Inhalation Aerosol to an earlier voluntary recall announced on January 25, 1994.  As reported at that time, some canisters from these lots are not within specification and may lead to less medication delivered to the lungs per puff.  Some patients using canisters from the affected lots may not get adequate relief from asthma symptoms and may require additional treatment.
