Aug. 2--The showroom at Cunningham Piano Co. in Germantown sports a new product among the Steinways, Baldwins and BA[paragraph]sendorfers.
That product is the Cunningham Piano -- a Philadelphia brand that, until this summer, had been out of production for 65 years.
Since World War II, Cunningham has been strictly a piano sales, maintenance and restoration business.
"There's always been a wish on our part to be able to bring our brand back," manager Tim Oliver said during a tour of Cunningham, whose offices and showroom occupy a former Masonic Hall on Germantown Avenue. The company plays host to occasional recitals ...
