Staying with chain retailers, it's interesting to note Sephora's recently announced intention to open up stores-within-stores in hard-pressed JC Penney. Appears to be quite a trend these days, what with Boots within CVS and Target, etc.
It certainly seems likely to brighten up JC Penney's rather frumpy image, although one has to recall that Avon's brief joint venture in 2003 ended in tears.
