August 01 (PTI Economic Service): Street vendors constitute an integral part of our urban economy. They provide an essential service to consumers, create selfemployment and contribute to the economic growth of the city. Despite these, street vendors have not yet been recognised as part of the system. They are not included in the town plans and the municipal policies.
