YAKIMA, Wash. - Michael Epping banged out four hits and the Eugene Emeralds battled from behind for the second consecutive night Monday to pull out a 7-5 Northwest League victory in 10 innings over Yakima for their third straight win.
Jesus Lopez opened the 10th with a double and moved to third on Epping's bunt single. Lopez scored the game-winner when Tom King reached on a throwing error by Yakima pitcher Chase Christianson.
Epping scored an insurance run on a bases-loaded wild pitch by Christianson.
The Emeralds (22-20) had their chances earlier but couldn't close it out.
