Today marks the first time the 13-15 North Syracuse Babe Ruth baseball league is sending two teams to a regional tournament in the same season.
Of the 3,000 Babe Ruth teams across the country, the North Syracuse 13-year-olds and 15-year-olds are among the 64 teams still in the running for this year's world series as they compete in the Middle Atlantic Regional tournament.
"We've worked really hard. We've earned it," 13-year-old center fielder Riley Moonan said a week before the tournament. "Now we have to go down****to Middle-Atlantics and take care of business."
