Kansas City, Mo. -- After looking so flat for two games at home, the Twins hit the road with a new gusto Thursday night, feasting on a hapless opponent.
Yes, the Kansas City Royals were a welcome sight for sore eyes. Brad Radke cruised through eight innings, iffy shoulder and all, and Justin Morneau helped break things open early with two big hits in an 8-2 victory at Kauffman Stadium.
The Twins pulled within two games of Boston for the wild-card lead, shaking off the doldrums after being outscored 19-2 in their previous two games against Texas.
