Oil prices below $75 as storm fears ease
Oil prices slipped below $75 a barrel Friday as concerns eased that a storm in the Caribbean could damage oil facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.
Prices remained high, though, and are subject to swings as traders monitor factors that could affect supply, such as storms nearing the gulf, record temperatures, violence in the Middle East and political strife in Nigeria, Africa's biggest oil producer.
