IT is one of the most famous songs ever written.
Jack Judge achieved immortality by penning It's A Long Way To Tipperary.
But the music hall star has been snubbed by the Black Country town where he was born, lived and died.
Yet he will be proudly remembered forever in a little-known town 80 miles away, which he was just passing through.
A bronze statue of Jack has been erected in Stalybridge, Cheshire, where he is reputed to have written Tipperary.
