Aug. 6--That batting average for second-round leaders looks as if it's going to drop for the fourth consecutive year.
Only three of the first 10 Cox Classic winners led after the opening two days of play at Champions Run. Not since Jay Delsing in 2002 has the leader after 36 holes hoisted the champion's crystal trophy.
With a 4-over par 75 on Saturday, Australian Bradley Hughes fell from second-round leader by one stroke at 12-under to a tie for 35th place with nine others. That puts Hughes six strokes behind the leaders at 8-under after 54 holes.
