Aug. 6--BLACKSBURG -- Meteorologists and doctors alike endorse limiting outdoor activity on muggy summer days like the present ones.
Heat, the experts say, is no respecter of age.
Neither is horseback riding for 70-year-old Becky Crittenden.
She hasn't stopped since she started 43 years ago.
The retired Virginia Tech mathematics professor of 38 years isn't about to let her aging bones -- much less the oft-fickle weather -- hold her back.
