Aug. 6--Dragonfly watchers have conversations that flit like dragonflies. They'll start explaining the habits of a 12-spotted skimmer, only to be distracted by the flight of a comet darner, which -- wait! There goes a blue dasher! It's sort of like high-speed bird-watching. "If you're looking for variety and diversity, you can't go wrong with insects," said Jim Davidson, a retired pathologist and a dragonfly enthusiast.
