Warren Moon refused to do it. He was a quarterback, period. And he wasn't going to switch to free safety, receiver, running back or any other position simply because he was black.

"I'm pretty stubborn," Moon said. "I think my stubbornness was the reason I was able to play the position one day."

He not only played it professionally for 23 years, including 1994-96 for the Vikings, he also played it well enough to become the first black quarterback to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The enshrinement ceremonies are today in Canton, Ohio.
