STAMFORD, Conn. -- GE Money, the global consumer lending unit of General Electric Company, announced today the appointment of Thomas C. Gentile to Sr. Vice President, Global Marketing. Mr. Gentile will report directly to David R. Nissen, president and CEO of GE Money.

Gentile assumes his new role from GE Money's Australia and New Zealand business, where he has served as CEO since June 2002. During his tenure as CEO, GE Money's business in Australia and New Zealand has experienced strong double-digit growth, and expanded into new markets.
