CHICAGO _ With football season kicking off and school days on the horizon, it's hard to find a good reason to justify spending three hours a day following a lost cause like the Chicago Cubs.
Although they've played their best stretch of baseball over the last two weeks, the Cubs appear likely to finish 10 or more games out of first place for the 15th time in their last 17 seasons.
