Article: The feast where the Nebuchadnezzar of wine turned into water.(News)

THIS is a biblical story of sorts about a man who, having reached three score years and 10, planned a great feast.

Actually his name is Desmond Dall, he's a retired orthopaedic surgeon who lives in Hermanus, and at a recent charity auction in aid of a street children's home in Kleinmond, he paid R10 000 for a giant bottle of red wine.

If anything, it was even bigger than a Nebuchadnezzar, which holds the equivalent of about 20 ordinary-sized bottles. This bottle contained 18 litres, or 24 bottles' worth. It was in a box with rope handles and required two men to carry.
