Aug. 8--KUWAIT -- Expatriates who were optimistic that the Ministry of Health would reduce the cost of health insurance will be disappointed. The insurance problem wasn't resolved and insurance prices are about three times higher than they were a week ago. The government seems to have cancelled the contracts with all of the country's health insurance providers -- except for one which has apparently been granted a monopoly. The Health Ministry has also allowed this one company to charge KD 50 per person per year for health insurance.
