International community has failed Afghanistan
Islamabad, Aug 7 (PTI) Amid criticism that it had done little to curb Taliban infiltration into Afghanistan, Pakistan today said the international community had "failed" to fulfil its commitments in the strife-torn country.
Reacting to comments by French officials that Pakistan should do more to control Taliban and bring about peace in Afghanistan, foreign ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said Islamabad had taken a number of steps to stop two-way infiltration across the border.
"We have deployed around 80,000 troops on our border," she said at a media briefing here.
