Abstract
Porokeratosis is a group of cutaneous disorders of keratinization characterized by a predisposition to malignant transformation. The condition, which may be associated with immune suppression, is usually resistant to therapy and has a high frequency of recurrence. Imiquimod, a potent topical immune response modifier with antiviral, antitumor, and immunoregulatory properties, is currently approved for the treatment of external anogenital warts and actinic keratosis.
