Aug. 9--Omaha Standard Inc. has acquired Fontaine Truck Equipment Co., a distributor and installer of commercial truck bodies in the Southeast.
Omaha Standard manufactures utility bodies, platform bodies, hydraulic hoists and liftgates for commercial trucks. The company did not disclose financial terms of the deal. The acquisition extends Omaha Standard's sales reach at the same time that the company has laid out plans to increase its market share.
