CLIFTON, N.J.-Linens 'n Things is starting to look a little like Federated Department Stores as Robert DiNicola, chairman and chief executive officer, has recruited a slew of fellow Federated alumni since taking the helm.

Linens 'n Things' bevy of top brass changes under DiNicola and new owner Apollo Management LLP have focused on bringing in executives "with plenty of home experience, but, in general, in a higher end than where Linens 'n Things has typically played," said Laura Champine, analyst with Morgan, Keegan & Co.
