PRAGUE. AUGUST 9. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - AVIATION: CSA Offers 10-Month Severance Package in Bid to Cut 1,000 Jobs - Czech national air carrier CSA offered severance pay of up to 10 monthly paychecks to employees agreeing to leave the airline. It wants to let go about 1,000 of its 5,500 employees and has given them until the end of August to decide whether to accept the offer. It applies mainly to support staff, and not pilots, flight attendants or airport ground personnel. Pilots would only be considered if CSA decided to reduce the number of airplanes.
