LOS ANGELES _ For one night at least, the Dodgers might have been too versatile for their own good.

Julio Lugo, starting at third base for the first time in the major leagues, handled the only chance that came his way for eight innings. With the score tied in the ninth, though, Manager Grady Little began moving the new pieces on his infield chessboard Wednesday.
