Debbie Mills plays mother to 150 monkeys in a tucked away corner of Benoni. Not on a farm, or a large plot, but in the back yard of her home.
Her primate friends find their way to her home after children or adults who once owned them no longer want them. Some are abused, others are ill, and most come to her in a horrible condition.
She plays mother to marmosets, tamarinds and vervet monkeys, all of whom require special attention and are very particular about what they eat.
She knows each one by name, and their medical history, and is not shy to sit and watch as 10 or so of the little critters play with her hair, ...
