PHILADELPHIA -- Brian P. Tierney, Chief Executive Officer of Philadelphia Media Holdings, LLC and Philadelphia Newspapers, LLC, today announced that Ed Mahlman will join Philadelphia Newspapers as Chief Marketing Officer. In this new position, Mr. Mahlman will be in charge of all marketing for the newspapers and online properties. He will report directly to Mr. Tierney.
Mr. Mahlman most recently was the executive director of the Pennsylvania Lottery where he grew revenues to a new record of $3.07 billion in 2005-06, a 16 percent increase over the previous year.
