Once again, a David Hockney painting has sold for a record-breaking price. On June 21, "The Splash" (shown) went for approximately $4.8 million at a Sotheby's auction in London. Once owned by movie producer David Geffen, the 1966 painting depicts the instant after someone dives into a pool.
