Health Editor THE extent of London's asthma epidemic is shown in a new assessment today.
Based on reports from GPs across the capital, the figures show for the first time that more than 434,000 people are being treated for the illness. More may be suffering without visiting a doctor.
There are significant variations in the number of people with asthma in different areas.
The figures show: .Harrow has the highest proportion at 5.7 per cent, or 13,029 people.
