Aug. 10--In 23 years of coaching, East Central's Travis Hill has never had a major heat-related incident with a player. But the first two weeks of football practice every August scare him. "We're trained what to do and take all the precautions, but the heat can get hold of you quickly," Hill said. "You've got to use common sense and be careful."
