LONDON -- Tesco PLC is changing the look of its Tesco Express convenience stores to make them blend better with their local communities.
The decision to revamp the stores was inspired by comments of local customers who want more subtle and welcoming designs that make in-store merchandise more visible from the outside, according to the company. The facelifts will enable the Express shops to sit comfortably within the current architecture of different kinds of buildings--in many cases restoring original features.
