Still Recommending Early Airport Arrival Due to Additional Security Screening
SEATTLE, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air will again allow pets to travel as checked baggage starting Aug. 12.
The carriers previously banned unaccompanied minor and pet travel Aug. 10 due to the increased likelihood of schedule disruptions caused by new security measures instituted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The airline's unaccompanied minor restrictions were lifted Aug. 11, as were the restrictions on pets traveling in the cabin with passengers or as cargo, but the ban on pets traveling as checked baggage was set to ...
