My rural affairs correspondent Benjamin Browning has let me know of some strange goings on in the Staffordshire countryside.
The Birmingham stockbroker and aspiring farmer has been expanding his chicken empire. But I am led to believe that he has diversified into quail egg production.
"Bernard Matthews started with a dozen turkey eggs and look at the empire he has built. I am trying the same in the quail sector," said Ben.
