Aug. 12--When Elizardo Ramirez threw inside with his first pitch to Aaron Rowand, he gave the Phillies' center fielder a chance for a painful but easy way to force in the winning run. Rowand, who already had been hit 16 times this season, pulled away. "Your first instinct isn't just to turn and wear it," he said. "Your first instinct is to get out of the way.
