Aug. 13--What do you need to make your house just right? A plantation desk? A cast-iron skillet? A record of Hank Williams' greatest hits? A wooden lamp with a shade made of toilet paper? A set of Tupperware custard cups? They're all for sale at the Hospice Flea Market.
The 17th edition of the market is the largest charitable flea market in the country. It sprawls through five buildings in the warehouse once occupied by Bennett/Colorcraft Packaging near the Burlington Indians stadium. It's also the biggest single event each year in Alamance County.
