Expert says skin allergies account for injected TCM adverse reactions
Shanghai. August 15. INTERFAX-CHINA - Experts have said that skin allergies make up the majority of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) to TCM injections.
Zhang Boli, the member of China Academy of Engineering and president of Tianjin TCM Institute, said at China's first TCM Injection Seminar held in Harbin that the numbers for such reactions accounted for 70%-80% of all cases.
"Skin allergies are caused by drug quality, and is also related with the constitution of the individuals," Zhang said, "severe adverse reactions mostly occur in individuals with allergic constitutions." The ...
