Aug. 16--Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi has been out of his office an average of four out of every five workdays since January as he campaigned for governor, while Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, his rival Democrat, missed about two days each month, according to their government schedules. Suozzi, who was re-elected to a four-year term last fall, appeared in his office, even if briefly, on 33 of the past 156 work days, county officials reported in response to a Newsday request.
