NEW YORK -- The New York Times in collaboration with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) announced today a leadership academy intended to help journalists develop their careers in newsroom management. The academy will launch in November 2006.
The Academy will accept applicants with two to five years of management experience who are currently working in a range of newsroom management positions. Those selected will attend a two-day management seminar in New York City with Times editors and newspaper managers who are members of the NABJ.
