Middle East crisis affecting dairy, fruit and livestock.(Israel and Lebanon conflict)

Trade to Israel and Lebanon is suffering due to the ongoing conflict between the Israeli army and Hezbollah forces and is having a direct impact on dairy and livestock exporters as well as domestic agricultural production.

World sugar traders are reportedly keeping a close eye on the conflict and the pace of trade has slowed somewhat, according to one trader from New York-based trading house quoted by The Public Ledger.

Agra-Informa publication Dairy Markets reports that Danish dairy company Aria Foods is also being affected by the conflict, urging its sales agents in Lebanon to stay home until the conflict is under control.
