WILLIAMSBURG, Va., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Olympic gold medalist Dan Jansen today hosted opening ceremonies for Busch Gardens Williamsburg's new children's adventure land, "Land of the Dragons" as part of fund raising events for the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games and children's literacy group, Reading Is Fundamental (RIF).
Jansen, who set a world record in his gold medal performance in the 1,000-meter speed skating competition in Lillehammer, Norway, met about 50 young members of Williamsburg-area RIF chapters in a mid-morning ribbon-cutting event at the interactive attraction.
